Located in the heart of Bordeaux, one of the world’s foremost capitals of wine and spirits, the French entity oversees the Group’s general management as well as sourcing and procurement for all subsidiaries, working directly with producers.
Elan SAS also holds the distinctive status of Négociant Bordelais (Bordeaux wine merchant), which allows the company to purchase wines directly from Châteaux cellars. This ensures full traceability for end customers and a supply chain entirely free of intermediaries.
None of the local competitors of Elan’s subsidiaries can provide such a service, as no local importer holds this Négociant status.
Furthermore, the Group maintains partnerships with a select number of prestigious châteaux, with which it has built long-standing and privileged relationships. These collaborations include hosting exclusive dinners at leading on-trade venues and offering the market a broad range of vintages and formats.
This highly selective and direct approach has progressively enabled the Group to secure exclusive agreements in certain markets—for example, with Pétrus (Kazakhstan, Korea, Australia) and Anseillan by Château Lafite (China).
Finally, with its headquarters in Bordeaux, the Group is ideally positioned to organize wine and spirits tours across Europe for its sales teams and key clients
